Dendermonde
Related to the theme year "Flemish Masters", a temporary hiking and cycling route was developed. During summer you can visit the Church of Our Lady (which is located at walking distance of the Saint Peters and Paulsabbey), where you can admire the restoration "in situ" of Antoon Van Dycks master work "Christ at the Cross". The painting is being restored on-site, which creates a unique glimpse behind the scenes. Furthermore, the church is a true treasury with many paintings from Flemish masters and lithurgical objects. The restoration in situ is accessible until September 30th 2024, every day except Monday, from 13h until 17h.

This 5 km hike brings you, besides a visit to the Church of Our Lady, alongside the green-blue river dykes of Dendermonde.
