Hiking
The route of the Gondepad walk passes, among other things, by the sculpture meadow, the Gondebeek stream, the Kouterslag nature reserve, the rural Kalverhaegestraat, the castles Ter Camere and De Bueren, and the Geerbos forest… Along the way, walkers get to discover several beautiful spots in Melle.
Cycling
On the Rodeland cycling route, you explore the area along the River Scheldt between Merelbeke and Oudenaarde. You’ll pass floodplain landscapes such as the Merelbeke Scheldt meadows and the Kaaimeersen, typical Flemish Ardennes villages with cozy cafés, and the well-known village of Ename.

The southernmost sub-municipality of Merelbeke-Melle is perhaps the most charming: in Munte, it feels as though time has stood still for many years. The old presbytery on the village square is the highlight. It has been beautifully renovated and radiates pure charm. Today, it houses the tourist information point—an essential stop on your journey through the region.
