We start STROOM 2025 with singing! Conducted by Bart Van Reyn, the sweet-voiced Octopus chamber choir will open proceedings with beautiful choral works by Gabriel Fauré, Sergej Rachmaninov and Eric Whitacre, among others. And is that the evergreen Moon River by Henry Mancini that suddenly sounds out?
Just as the river flows from its mouth, so too does the choir’s sound swell. Gradually, more voices join in, including yours! In his inimitable style, charismatic entertainer Pieter Embrechts leads the audience in a stupendous singalong on the banks of the Donkmeer. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable summer evening!

Pieter Embrechts is a versatile artist who switches effortlessly between theatre, music and television. As a singer and performer, he is known for his warm voice, charisma and ability to truly engage an audience. Ferry
At 23:00, the ferry Berlare-Appels sails exceptionally for concertgoers.

To get to the concert venue, you can use the regular timetable between 7:00 and 20:00.
The Berlare-Appels ferry point is a 20-minute bike ride from the Festivalhal.
