In this brand-new passion by Jef Neve, with text by Jeroen Olyslaegers, an unexpected voice takes centre stage: a ‘storytelling mother’. “What do you want me to bring? A beautiful tale of courage, or something that stands shakily on its feet?” The protagonist is not God or Jesus is, but an ordinary person, a noble unknown.

In this humane passion, just like Bach's — complete with choruses, recitatives, arias, and chorales — music and text jointly advocate embracing the chaos of life as part of a meaningful existence. The innocent lamb navigates the entire catalogue of contemporary challenges: from flight shame, climate activism, and social media, to toxic leadership and populism. In its own way, the lamb is sacrificed, and — meditating, questioning, singing — comes back to life again.

Shuttlebus

Shuttle buses will be provided from Ghent, Sint-Niklaas, Geel and Berchem to the concert venue. A ticket there and back costs only €4.
Booking is necessary, do so when buying your concert ticket.

7-minute bike ride
The ferry sails between 7:00 and 20:00 free of charge, every hour and half hour. At 23:15, the ferry sails exeptionally for concertgoers. Book your return trip for free, do so when you buy your concert ticket.
